Hanover And Stuff

Hanover is great. I love it. It's such a nice change from high school. Yet my classes are all discussion based lacking math and science and make me yearn for more. Latin is really fun. My room mate is alright, we get along fine. I'm making friends and even opened a facebook account. I enjoy looking out and seeing the woods and a great view of the Ohio River. If the rain stops I'll post a pic of it.

On the brighter side, I've met all the Geology profs and will soon begin working on a paleontology project with the resident paleontologist. Huzzah! I'm very glad I came to Hanover. I've been playing risk too much, I become so powerful the remaining weaklings have to team up on me just to keep me from dominating. They play by wacky rules and are easily offended (making it even harder for me to play).

The question is how long will my freshman enthusiasm last? Any bets?

Class Registration

This morning I awoke at 7 AM. Ate a bagel. Brushed teeth. Then sat at my computer neurotically waiting for 8 AM to arrive. Why did I wake up at this near ungodly hour for a summer wake up time? To register for my college classes! Thanks to the might of the internet I was able to register the classes for my fall semester, I also did some eBay bidding (I won records! albums, you know, before cassette tapes). I was fortunate to get in every class I wanted, and at 8:05 AM, 2 of my chosen classes were full. I'll be taking philosophy and theology of nature (required), Latin 1 (no Chinese), Great Works: American Identity, and Health Fitness. Where are the science and math? Taken or didn't fit into omni schedule. I'll make up for this lack by putting science and math on the plate next semester. I just want to take care of those general education credits. Huzzah for Hanover!

Wedding Bells, Wedding Kazoo

This saturday is my mom's wedding. Huzzah. My gift to her is I'm not going to heckle during the wedding. I've also been assigned the task of DJ which means I create a playlist with no vulgar language, hook up my shiny new iPod to a set of speakers, and skip songs if I have to. I was chosen because my music collection is mostly rock songs from the 70s & 80s. That, and my mom is too cheap to hire a real DJ.

Eat at Steak N Shake!

With the upcoming wedding the family has been slightly more stressful then normal. And I'm running out of hiding places. I've taken up biking again. The better way of saying that is I keep taking the bike and sneaking out. After the wedding I'll be heading back to Evansville so I can starty frying steakburgers and mixing up milkshakes. Yummm, Steak N Shake is great!

Off to Syracuse!

Tomorrow starts my road trip to Syracuse, NY for my mother's wedding. Huzzah. The only negative part appears being trapped in the car with my brother for that allotted time period. Aside from that, all is well. Work is swell, they gave me the month off for the wedding and I'll return to making steakburger and mixing up milkshakes. Maybe I can get paid to advertise here...EAT AT STEAK N SHAKE! YUM YUM! FAMOUS FOR STEAKBURGERS.

Seeing my friends was great, Risk, Smash Brothers, even some AOE3; which Alex and I played everyday for 3 weeks. I even broke into his house once, went to the computer, and started playing (no one was home and their a friendly family) Even some new adventures like a movie and frisbee golf (I really stink at frisbee golf).

EAT AT STEAK N SHAKE (subliminal blog advertisement)

Here's to a wedding and hours of driving, cheers!

A Lot Has Gone On

That photo is a test photo of my Dell meeting my magpies Pro. I am now down with high school. Finals flew by. Graduation was good. A memory worth storing. Since then I have been rolling 18 pounds of coins, catching up on my music collection, and enjoying games with old friends. I vow that I shall not play Risk for a while (an unlikely vow). Most of this gaming has taken the form of Age of Empires 3 with Alex R., at his house.

Graduating high school is a great achievement. I think it means I am close to being an adult. That is 4 years down. Now 4 years and then some untill I get my Ph.D. These incoherrent sentences are my way of celebrating my graduation and thanking Signature School for prepaing me for college.

AP Time

Signature School ranked 54th best high school in the nation. Huzzah!

My three AP tests next week consisting of physics and chemistry with a dash of comparitive politics.

Twenty days till I graduate. Huzzah!

My mac is awsome, work isn't bad at all.

Prom/Mac/AP

Prom was good. My date and I enjoyed it very much. Albeit, Erica and I weren't with a group, but we still enjoyed ourselves. What a way to end the year. Smiles all around. A grand dance indeed.

Friday I ordered my 15" MacBook Pro with my cousin's Pixar discount, huzzah! Soon I shall rid myself of this horrid windows and upgrade to that which is MAC. It should arrive this week only adding to my anxiety over graduation, finals, and AP exams.

AP shall arrive for me in two weeks. With physics (the non-calculus based, I'm a wimp), comparitive politics, and chemistry are all three days in a row. But on the third day I shall rise again and be relieved of having my work cut out for me.

Here's to speeding up the bad parts and freezing the good parts of what remain with this year.
